Kraeos, the Lord of Freedom; Pantheon Leader
Lord Kraeos, the powerful God of Freedom. He is the Pantheon Leader of the Gods watching over the world known as Galabastarin. Granted, Galabastarin is not the only world the powerful God watches over.
He's good and kind and fair, but also playful, mischievous, and flirty.
Kraeos loves to flirt, and is bi in every way, shape, and form. He can be a total and complete goofball; but when the time is right, he is downright dead serious. He is not one to bark orders; His Pantheon follows him because he respects them and does all he can for them. As he puts it, "A Leader is nothing without his Pantheon."
His Pantheon has a bond of trust and friendship, close-knit, like a family. He accepts those who need a friend, and acceptance. He never faults one for their past, or for where they came from. He is personable and friendly, both to his Pantheon and to the Mortals who follow him. Kraeos believes that Gods and Mortals are very much alike. Both have thoughts, feelings, wants, loves, desires... and as such, the Mortals should be treated with respect and caring by the Gods. He appears to them when he can; often answering prayers in person. Or, even, just being a friend to somebody who hasn't got a person in the world. Kraeos is a very deep and interesting character, and hard to describe. I adore him.
He's a bit of a manslut. He... LOVES to flirt. And loves, even more, a good romp. He'll flirt with anything that moves as long as it's sentient, not too young, and not ugly as sin. He is a very interactive God. He will answer your prayers, whether or not you actualy know it is him. Many times, his help is so subtle you don't even realize he's helped you.
He likes to give life lessons. A good example is the time a young prince was praying to him, begging him to make him into a better king, because he was promoted to King after his father died, but he felt he was doing a horrible job at it. Kraeos showed up, telling him he had something for him.
He handed him a simple stone. Of course, the prince wondered why the God was giving him a stone. Kraeos took the stone back, sat down on his temple floor, and started to polish it. As he went along, he showed the prince his progress.
"Mm... Look at that, the true color's starting to show. But it could use some more work."
And by the time he finished, the stone was fully polished to a beautiful shine on one side. He showed the stone to the Prince, which, polished, had a surprisingly beautiful sheen to it.
"You see, you start out like this." He showed the Prince the unpolished, rough side of the stone. "But with hard work and determination, you can become like this." He showed him the other side of the stone. "And that, my boy, is why I am giving this to you." He put his hand on the boy's shoulder, and vanished with a smile.
The boy grew up to become a good, kind, and strong king, well-loved by his people until he died of age. Kraeos made him into his Messenger when he died; because Kraeos felt he deserved it because he took his lesson to heart so well.
Kraeos has a bit of an attitude, especially when dealing with other Gods.
Some of his quotes include
"I am a God with Attitude."
"I got something all you other Gods do not... It's called a PERSONALITY!" This is often said with a grin, and only when he was called before the Council. He hates the Council. Deeply. This is the reason he later leaves the Council of the Gods and strikes out on his own, because he feels they have become corrupt and power hungry.
"There's this little thing called NOT having a stick shoved up your ass. Or, in Zeus' case.. A whole entire damn tree." This said with a smirk as he looks quite pointedly RIGHT at Zeus...
"Hey Hera! Hera! You should get Zeusy-poo over there neutered. Maybe then he'd behave!" And after the fact, he says "Yeah, let's just say a lightening-bolt (Or several of them) shoved up your ass doesn't feel as awesome as it sounds!"
Yeah, he does kinda torment Zeus because he finds it hilarious how cranky and temperamental the Thunder God is. After he leaves the Council, Zeus manages to get himself into some trouble with one of his offspring releasing a bunch of deranged Primordials his Pantheon had locked away. The Council does nothing about it, so Kraeos has to go in and save his arse. They form a bit of a shaky alliance after this, mostly because Kraeos still drives Zeus up the wall; but he feels indebted to him after Kraeos literally saved his life.
There is a lot more to Kraeos then meets the eye. You just have to get to know him.
