Erebos, Lord of Shadow and Void
Erebos is a big, scary shadow, but the twist is he is not evil at all. He's painfully shy, a total sweetheart, and wouldn't hurt a fly.
He's very kind, and very caring. He's generally very quiet and socially awkward.
He's a very loyal friend if you get to know him. He seems to be a big, looming shadow but hes just gosh-darned ADORABLE when you actually get to know him as a character! *cuddles him to death*
He has control over shadows, and he can also drain one of their energy with a touch.
Since he spent billions of years completely alone, he knows how to control his power because he practiced; He had nothing better to do and he was bored. He has complete and utter control over his abilities, and even if something manages to make him angry, he does not lose control.
This has made him very useful in Kraeos' Pantheon, because he is able to use his methods of control to teach newlings and godlings how to control their own powers.
Because of this, the young Gods are used to Erebos, and no longer afraid of him. They grow up with him around to help out with the training, which Kraeos is VERY appreciative of since training young Gods by himself is pretty difficult when coupled with all his other tasks.
Erebos was found by Kraeos' Pantheon when they got news from a Messenger that her mistress had gone missing. All they could see in Orios' orbs was this looming black shadow attacking a Goddess. Only, they saw something seemed wrong. He seemed to be struggling with something; and he looked very, very unhappy. Almost as if the big shadowy creature had been crying.
They picked his trail up, since he seemed to actually be sick, leaving a clear trail of energy.
They found that the Goddess he had kidnapped had escaped. There was no sign of any damage to her - only that there had been a brief struggle. As if he had let her get away.
They eventually found him floating in space, as if asleep, and he looked to be in terrible shape.
They found that there was some sort of possessing Messenger controlling him, and a deadly poison that was making him sick and slowly killing him.
They were able to remove and kill the messenger, but they had to barrier him and hold him down to remove the poison, because he was actually very scared.
Once this was done, they asked him what was going on, and realized that somebody had hold of somebody named Aurume. Kraeos knew that look in his eyes - Aurume was obviously somebody he loved deeply and cared about with all his heart. They had him lead them to the evil God that had Aurume, and the evil God and his Pantheon were defeated and Aurume saved. Erebos, not wanting to be alone any more, decided to join Kraeos' Pantheon. Aurume's spirit remained beside him when she died, and she was transformed into his Messenger soon after.
On a random side note - if he takes in too much energy, it makes him drunk. He'll even feel hung over later. It's frikkin' hilarious.
